An addition and complete renovation to an 1870's brownstone on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. This is the view when you step inside from the main doors.
The library has a new wrought iron balcony and spiral stairs which connect with the backyard.

An addition was added to the top of the brownstone for a nanny/guest bedroom suite with a roof top deck. Although it faces the street, it cannot be seen from below - a requirement of the NYC Landmark Commission.
When we started this project, the front facade was painted black, the brownstone stairs were crumbling...
